Accoya® has completely changed the way we think about wood. Through a revolutionary scientific process called wood acetylation, wood is modified from a pure form of vinegar to give it properties that go beyond those of (tropical) hardwood. This makes Accoya the most durable and stable wood in the world, unsurpassed in performance and aesthetics.

 Accoya® allows you to compete with all materials for which wood was not previously a viable option. Accoya® is guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground or fresh water contact. Accoya® is always durability class 1

Accoya® is ideal for coating

Accoya® wood has shown improved coating lifetime performance with many types of coatings, resulting in extended maintenance intervals. The light colour of Accoya® wood allows for a wide range of colour finishes. Improved stability means film-forming coating systems last much longer. Accoya® wood is easier to coat, less preparation and sanding is required.

Accoya® is dimensionally stable

Accoya® wood’s superior dimensional stability (resistance to swelling and shrinkage) exceeds all commonly used species, including Teak, Sapele and Iroko. Accoya® wood has been tested over prolonged periods in all types of weathering conditions - above ground, below ground and even in water - and has been proven to withstand even the toughest of external environments.

Dimensions and qualities

Accoya® is always available in 1 length and 1 fixed width per pack. All packages also have a clearly defined quality and are supplied with an FSC® certificate.
